Guaranteed Service for Property Developers

Under Part E of the Building Regulations any change of use development of a single dwelling into flats / apartments has to pass sound testing.  The expense and stress to the Developer of having to put right a failure of sound testing has been well documented in the construction industry press.

Sound Effects offers a peace-of-mind service to Developers converting houses into flats / apartments:

We have a number of tried-and-tested acoustic floor, wall and ceiling systems where, if installed by our fitters, the Company will guarantee these will pass subsequent sound testing.  No Ifs, No Buts - we will put matters right at our own expense if the development fails sound testing.

Domestic Soundproofing

We all deserve a little peace and quiet when we want it.  This can, however, be denied to us by unwanted sound penetrating our homes from noisy neighbours.  Noise Pollution is now accepted as a cause of anxiety and stress, potentially leading to health problems over the longer term.  Sound Effects offers the soundproofing expertise to combat Noise Pollution in one supply-and-fit package for homeowners suffering with noise from neighbours.

The Company also provides a service to Musicians who are looking to control sound transfer from music rehearsal rooms.  This has included the soundproofing of garages to enable use of these areas as rehearsal rooms, freeing up space otherwise taken within the house.

We have successful experience of installing domestic soundproofing systems with products from the following Manufacturers:

Rockwool, Knauf Insulation, British Gypsum Insulation, Ecousti, Sound Reduction Systems, John C Wilkins, Cellecta, Speedline MF Ceiling and Wall Systems, Hodgson and Hodgson, Lafarge.

Industrial Noise Control

Sound Effects installations have made real improvements to both employee's work environments and those in the vicinity of industrial buildings by controlling noise emanating from plant and machinery.  Our work has covered noise control between industrial units as well as within to separate office areas from production.
