Sustainability

Rockfibre has historically been the insulation material used as part of soundproofing floor, wall and ceiling systems.  As the product is derived from a naturally-occurring material it can be described as 'sustainable'.  However, the embodied energy used in the transportation and manufacturing of this product from its raw state to insulation material has led to more people now demanding a 'greener' alternative.

Sound Effects now offers clients more environmentally-sustainable insulations, such as Hemp or Wood Fibre slabs, as an alternative to Rockfibre - both with similar acoustic properties to Rockfibre products.  And to demonstrate the Company's commitment to a greener future, Sound Effects now provides clients with the choice of installing either Hemp or Wood Fibre insulation as an alternative to Rockfibre at exactly the same price - the Company paying the difference in the buying cost for these more expensive materials.

Sound Effects also offers a supply-and-fit service of these sustainable products to those requiring thermal insulation.
